TUCH

All products are hand crafted so, new orders will be processed, crafted and shipped within 3-5 business days.

Information

All Tuch products are handmade using leather. As such, variation in color and texture should be expected as are minor character elements like scarring. I layout each Tuch in order to make sure that these variations and characteristics add to the aesthetic quality of the Tuch.

Tuch for iPhones are made to function as wallets as well as cases therefore, credit and business cards are essential for proper fit. Without the cards, the fit will be extremely loose.

Tuch products are designed for a snug fit. New products will be quite tight and might be slightly difficult to get your items in and out. This tightness generally lasts about a week of regular use until the leather relaxes to accommodate the item it is designed to hold.

The leather's suede side will shed small fibers for a while while the leather breaks in. You'll have some fibers on your screen (just brush them off) for a while. Also on shoulder straps, but as it wears in it becomes a very good non-slip strap.

Leather Care: Naked

Naked Tuchs are untreated leather therefore, it will darken into a rich warm tan over time. Water and other liquids will darken or stain it. This can actually create a nice patina over time.

For Naked Tuchs, a non-darkening leather treatment such as Lexol NF can be used to give some additional protection. Even the Lexol NF will darken it very slightly, but not much more than it will naturally darken in about a week of normal exposure. Other treatments will darken the leather a quite a bit, which isn't bad looking either it's just personal preference. Always test in a small inconspicuous spot before applying to the whole Tuch to make sure you are going to be fine with the outcome.

I'm always trying new protection and conditioning products. I'll post additional options as they reveal themselves. Currently in testing are Beeswax and Carnuba wax products.

DO NOT:
- Use hand creams or lotions on your Naked Tuch.
- Use wet wipes or any other type of wipes on your Naked Tuch they will stain it.

OIL STAINS:
Put cornstarch on the stain immediately. Rub the cornstarch into the leather to absorb the oil. A low temp heat source can sometimes help the cornstarch absorb the oil. Use a soft cloth or soft toothbrush to clean of the cornstarch when finished. See a professional leather cleaner if the stain does not come out.

WATER STAINS:
There is not an effective DIY solution to water staining, you'll have to consult with a professional leather cleaner. The use of a leather conditioner such as Lexol NF can provide some protection from water staining. Again, water staining over time can create an amazing look. For example check out the Satchel 17.

OTHER TYPES OF MARKS:
A white eraser can be used to take off a number of types of mark such as ball point ink, pencil and dirt. Use it gently and carefully at first to ensure that it won't smear.

Leather Care: Obsidian and Limited Editions

These Tuchs are made with finished leather and through the finishing process have some resistance to darkening and water.

These Tuchs generally do not need any additional care although a treatment with leather conditioner (like Lexol NF) every couple of years will keep it in top condition. As with all treatments test a small spot first before full application.
